Our fire rated Polyurethane is not fireproof. It is a different material than our standard product that has been tested. It burns slower and emits less smoke to allow for additional evacuation time. It is used mainly in commercial applications.
Our product is not structural and cannot hold much weight. We do not recommend placing anything over 5 lbs on our mantels.
