Thanks for your question. These panels are solid polyurethane and can be cut with any wood working tool. As for putting them over a door that is not an installation scenario that I've encountered in the past. Please contact customer service M-F 9-5 eastern to describe your project and obtain customized guidance. We also recommend purchasing samples so you can see the material for yourself. The cost of up to 5 samples will be deducted from your full product purchase.
