I'm interested in the wood beams, however, how would faux beams go across a steel beam supported by a laly column?

the basement ceiling has a steel beam supported by laly columns, my plan is to buy faux beams and then also buy faux beams to go around the laly columns my question is how do io bridge the t where the steel beam and laly column intersect?
